Our Belief Concerning Prayer
We believe that prayer is essential in our communication with God. The act of prayer requires both speaking to God and listening for his response (Heb 4:16; John 10:27) the foundation of the Caring and Sharing Ministries is based upon prayer.
Our Belief Concerning People
We believe that God loves all people. As it is written in 2 Peter 3:9b “the Lord is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance”. It was the mission of Jesus while here on earth (Luke 19:10) to seek and save those that are lost. (Reference John 3:16)Salvation through Jesus Christ reaches across all generational, racial and cultural barriers.
Our Belief Concerning Involvement, Encouragement, And Support
We believe that even though we are called as individuals to the Caring And Sharing Ministries, we should value one another as a team of believers. Romans 12:45 states, “Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so it is with Christ's body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other”(NIV). Each person has relevance and significance and together we can make a difference.
Our Belief Concerning Education
We believe that we should not just be content to just “do” ministry. We should continually seek to grow and be open to change in order to continually mature on a natural as well as a spiritual level. This is accomplished through training sessions and workshops. It should be recognized that spiritual growth demands both intellectual as well as emotional growth.
